Celebrating Our Team's Dedication

Happy Diwali to all who are celebrating! On the eve of Diwali, the Nic & Wes Team gathered, as we do annually, to celebrate with our Indian workforce over a meal and merry making. Diwali is a significant festival for our on-site team, and it is a time for us to honour them and their contributions to Nic & Wes.

Preparations began in the late morning, with workers decorating the ground floor of our office unit. This year, we were also graced with a beautiful hand-drawn Mandala artwork created by our Project Manager Rajan's wife.

A Community Celebration

This time of celebration is open to our staff, family and friends. It's always lovely to have our Project Managers daughters join in on the celebrations as well as see our guests come decked in their festive clothing. This year we even had a client of Nic & Wes attend the luncheon.

As everyone gathered, our founder Brian, along with senior project managers Rajan and Somu, delivered speeches and greetings before handing out bonus tokens to each of the men in recognition of their hard work over the year.

Joy and Camaraderie

The celebration was filled with laughter, dancing, and genuine moments of joy as our team came together as one big family.

Bittersweet Farewells

It was a bittersweet time as well as this will be the last Diwali celebrations for some of our long-standing workers who will be returning home to India for the long-haul.

The Heart of Our Work

When I look at them, I see men who have left their families to work hard and provide for them. Their sacrifices have taken time away from seeing their children grow up, building bonds with their wives, and spending time with their aging parents—all to provide a better life for their families. These men spend their Diwali celebrations mostly away from home but still find reasons to smile.

These men are the veins of Nic & Wes. For many of our clients, they are not just workers who helped build their houses but also friendly faces who greet them on-site, share a conversation, and are recognized for their good service and skills.

The Lifeblood of Nic & Wes

From our Project Managers to our general workers, they are the lifeblood of Nic & Wes. They are the reason that a designs on a screen become tangible homes. Every wall, ceiling, and staircase is a testament to their honed and constantly refined skills. These are the men we celebrate.
