A nostalgic nod to Singapore's colonial past, this black-and-white bungalow was rebuilt from a modest single-storey home into a stunning 4,300 sq. ft. residence. With timeless detailing and thoughtful planning, it blends old-world charm with practical, modern-day comfort.
Design Philosophy
"Reviving Heritage, Reimagined for Today"
This home is more than a rebuild—it's a tribute to a bygone era, where formality, symmetry, and grace defined residential architecture. Inspired by the classic colonial houses of Tanglin and Seletar, the design honours authentic elements such as monochrome exteriors, elegant balustrades, and expansive verandahs, while seamlessly incorporating modern comforts for a growing family.
Every space reflects purpose—flowing with natural light, cooled by cross-ventilation, and shaped by how the homeowners live, work, and relax. For Nic & Wes, this project was a celebration of heritage made relevant—proving that timeless design, when done right, can still feel wonderfully livable.
