Décor crafting is a valuable way to “bond” with the home while beautifying it at the same time. Easy home décor crafts are not only simple to accomplish but allows you to change up the home frequently. Simple tweaks can instantly change up a room or a look keeping it fresh.
Amongst writing and photography, crafting has been a hobby that I thoroughly enjoy. So for this issue, I was especially excited to bring something I know well to the Nic & Wes Builders Newsletter to share with you, the readers. Not only are these two tutorials easy to do, they are projects that will inject a minor makeover to your rooms. I hope that you enjoy these two projects as much as I did creating them.
Pistachio Shell Tea Light Candle Holder
Pistachios are not only a delicious snack but can be fully utilised as well. Recycle pistachio shells to create interesting home accessories. This tutorial is not only ornamental but a nice accompaniment for tea light candles.
What you need:
·Hot glue gun
·Circle template (approx. 7cm diameter)
·Tea light candle
Place the circle template on top of the vanguard sheet. Trace the outline of the circle template with a pencil.
Taking a pair of scissors, cut out the circle shape made onto the vanguard. This will be the base of the candle holder.
Flip the tea light candle on its top and place it onto the middle of the circle vanguard base. Trace out the tea light candle’s outline.
Heat the glue gun. When the glue begins to melt out of the nozzle place some glue onto the base of the pistachio shell.
Place the glued pistachio shell just after the circle outline in the middle. Continue until step 4 and 5 until the first layer is complete.
Going on to the second layer, position the pistachio shells in between where the first layer’s pistachio shells meet.
Continue to glue the pistachio shells by layers until the vanguard base is covered.

No Sew Cushion Cover
A convenient and quick sofa makeover without the need of any sewing. This project takes less than five minutes to complete. Follow these steps to change up your cushion covers in a jiff.
What you need:
·Fabric (should be three times the size of the cushion/ approx. 150x130cm)
Lay the fabric flat with the wrong side facing up.
Place cushion onto the middle of the fabric.
Fold the top and bottom of the fabric towards the middle of the pillow.
Fold the two ends of each side to form a triangle.
Bring one side of the fabric over the middle of the pillow followed by the other which should cross each other.
Knot the two ends at the middle of the pillow keeping the ends vertical.
Take the exposed ends one at a time over the knot and then tuck it under.
Embellish the cushion with a brooch to add a little glitz.

IN MY OPINION: IMAGINATIONBy Brian Kow
I can't help but feel that if I could be transported to any place in the world, I would ultimately want to be transported to this Shangri-La; a heaven on earth that provides a safe recluse with the people who mean the world to me and with all the possible amenities that keep us healthy, happy and together.
The windows to creativity has allowed us to pursue our imagination towards building this special place we call Home and forms the building blocks in creating our Lifestyle Homes both in form, function, sustainability and efficiency.
My constant pursuit is to be able to share this sense of contentment, satisfaction and joy in creating what is considered not just a Home but a Lifestyle Home to live, grow and enjoy with fond memories to share.
