One of the things that Covid has taken away from us these past two years was the ability to come together to celebrate our various festivals. Deepavali is one such festival that we could not celebrate as we usually do, but this year, we were finally able to come together again as a company.
Held on Saturday, two days before Deepavali, our company came together from the various departments including the office staff and the on-site personnel. The buffet spread included Briyani rice together with various meat and vegetable curries and fried fish, ending with some Gulab Jamun for dessert.
Before we feasted, our founder Brian and our senior on-site project managers, Rajan and Somu gave speeches followed by an appreciation ceremony for our foreign workers.
It was good to see both old and new faces within our foreign worker workforce. Covid was hard for everyone but, it was even harder for foreign workers. Deepavali is a time to not just share a meal together but a chance to celebrate our labourers who have left their families to find a better way to provide for them with a better life. For without them a home concept will only remain a visual on paper. They are the people who make our visual conceptualisations realised liveable spaces.
With the Covid situation stabilising, we are working to get our workforce optimised. To bring in more skilled labour to work with us as we bring your dream and lifestyle homes from concept to reality.
